I have no prior experience with circus. Can I join a class as a complete beginner?

Yes, absolutely! Our 101 classes are designed specifically for Anybody with Anybody and are the perfect place to begin your training with us and require no prior experience or prerequisites. 101 classes are programmed for all levels where both modifications and progressions are offered. These classes are catered to absolute beginners and experienced students looking to refresh, supplement or enhance their skills.

How do CLASS Sign ups work?

Our classes are not session based, meaning you are free to schedule the classes you want to take when you want to take them. We currently only offer single class purchases with Package deals offered throughout the year. We do require prior registration, no drop in’s. Please sign up for a class in advance in order to guarantee your spot!

What should I wear / what should I bring?

General workout attire will do and no shoes are needed for our classes. We suggest wearing leggings or sweat pants that cover the backs of your knees for aerial classes. We do not offer a changing room, please try to arrive in class ready clothes. Please remove all jewelry prior to class. Please bring a water bottle that you can refill at the school as there is no water for sale at our facility.

What is your cancellation policy?

You can cancel yourself from a class on Mind Body as long as the class is more than 24 hours in the future. Cancellations within 24 hours are considered “late cancels” and the class credit is forfeited.

Additionally, any class with less than 3 students is liable to be cancelled by Cirque School. You will be notified via email if a class is cancelled at least 6 hours prior to the class start time.

PRIVATE LESSONS

Likewise, cancellations made within 24 hours of a private lesson are considered "late cancels" and the entire amount for the private is due. For this reason, we require a credit card on file before a private lesson can be booked.

LATE ARRIVALS- I'M RUNNING LATE. WHAT HAPPENS IF I CANNOT MAKE THE CLASS ON TIME?

To ensure the quality of our classes and your own safety we cannot allow late arrivals into our classes and the credit for the class is forfeited.

ONE TIME FORGIVENESS POLICY

We know that unexpected events and emergencies do happen. If you need to late cancel from a class and it is your first time doing so, we allow the class credit to be returned back to your account for future use. We cannot apply this policy to multiple classes during a day, and it can only be used once. This policy also does not apply to private lessons or classes bought with discounted package rates like the “Buy 2, Get 1 Free” promotion for first time students.

I have previous circus/gymnastics experience. Can I take a more advanced class?

If you are coming to Cirque School with prior circus training and wanted to attend a more advanced class, please either email your Instagram handle or a short video of yourself to be cleared. The quality of the video is not important. If possible, please include yourself getting into and out of your tricks.

If you do not have video, you may take the appropriate 101 class for evaluation, or you can take a private lesson from one of our coaches who can evaluate you during the lesson.

There are open spots in a class, but I can’t sign up. Why?

If you are attempting to sign up for a class within 1 hour of its start time, you will not be able to reserve a spot online via Mind Body. If there are spots available on the day of a class, feel free to contact us at info@cirqueschool.com and we will be happy to reserve a spot for you.

Location & Parking

There is 1-hour metered parking on Hollywood Blvd. You can find non-metered parking on Wilton and Gramercy north of Hollywood Blvd or on Carlton Way behind the school, south of Hollywood Blvd.
